The Curse Box is one of the many magical artifacts possessed by Anglesey. It consists of an intricately carved darkwood box with mithral hinges and hasp, and is fitted with straps that allow it to be worn like a backpack. The interior of the box appears to be lined with a fine black fur of some kind. The inside top includes compartments that contain goggles and thick leather gloves, all of which share the properties of the box itself. The box is similar in some ways to a bag of holding, in that it can carry items many times its apparent dimensions.
The purpose of the Curse Box and its accessories is to allow individuals to handle and transport items that would otherwise do harm to them. Over the years, the loremasters of Anglesey have made extensive use of Curse Box and its accessories in studying some of the evil or cursed items contained within the Forbidden Room. On a few occasions, the Curse Box has been used to transport evil items out of the city to either hide or destroy them.
Most recently, the Curse Box was used by the Heroes of Anglesey to carry the Tome of Becoming from Aksum to New Viti, where it has since been under the guardianship and study of the Imperial loremasters.
